Re: [PyrNet-L] Coat question, help!

Becky, Could be! My 8 year old male is blowing right now, (his birthday is
in December) and so is my intact bitch. (Chelsea's blow has to do with
coming out of season) My 10.5 year old spayed bitch blows all the time.
Actually she's not really blowing her coat, Molly just has s-o-o much coat
that she is always shedding somewhat and it's so long it practically drags
the ground! And to think she used to be naked all the time just like her
daughter Chelsea! Poor Molly is grooming intolerant and can only be brushed
for 5 or 10 minutes at a time so it is a constant battle with her. She's not
real bad about the grooming, she just gets tired of it. After a few minutes
she gets uncomfortable. She's going to the Canine Learning Experience in
Allentown, PA next week and we started (she and I) Grooming for this 2 weeks
ago. She is not at all comfortable on the grooming table but she'll have to
tolerate it for a few minutes to have the hair around her feet trimmed. Her
coat is relatively easy to brush out as the tangles pretty much just fall
out when a brush is passed through them but she has a number of lumps on
various parts of her body that seem to bother her if you brush too long. We
don't think it's cancer but I'm not willing to put her under to find out.
She'll just stay here and be loved as long as she is happy and when she's
not happy or in pain I'll help her to the Rainbow Bridge as I have so many
before her. She is starting to go downhill a little at a time, but she's a
tough old girl and she may surprise me yet again! I sure hope so. Good luck
to all who have puppies that are "blowing", and remember, "This too shall
pass"!
