If you are concerned with value and you want a product that you can
use on your dogs, cats and fine washables, I would suggest Orvus
paste.  It comes in a 5lb pail, is very thick and you dilute it down
for use as a dog shampoo.  You can buy it at your local
Co-Op store or any farm supply store.

I use the same product to handwash my quilts and fine washables.  It
is safe and gentle.
