Have missed a few items of the cat/ Pyr debate, but for my two cents.....

We have a feral cat problem around here. The town holds fundraisers and takes 
donations from local businesses for "Cause for Paws". You pick up your local 
feral cat/ stray dog, take it to the vet, he/she spays/ neuters, gives shots, 
etc, and C for P picks up the tab. All you do is feed it and sort of keep and 
eye out for its welfare.
