Re: [PyrNet-L] French pix

Joe, Just went through the winner's pix on the Pyrenean Journal site.
Don't know why, but for some reason I noticed their feet! The dogs
over there seem to have a somewhat longer toe than a lot of dogs that
we see here. Although the toes seem to be well arched. I have always
been of the opinion that the Pyrs would need a little length of toe to
do their job properly. Some dogs I have seen here have such short toes
and catlike feet that it is hard to believe they would be able to
nimbly traverse any type of rough terrain. Since you have seen more
French dogs than what are in the pix, what are your observations on
this toe thing?
