Robert, have read with so much interest the reports of finding Zeke and
your first days with him. I am continually amazed at the horrors people
can inflict on dogs....and on the resilience of the dogs to recover from
such abuse and neglect and become great companions. It does sound as if
you'll have to watch Zeke and Guilty for a while--I wouldn't leave them
together when no one is home, at least until Guilty is more secure in his
feelings that he hasn't been replaced in your affections. Given the lack
of health care, do hope Zeke won't test positive for heartworm, or
anything else. Let us know the results of his vet visit.
