Jan, I did call animal control, after the talking did no good.  I've had
it these days, and I call rather quickly.  I'm getting a reputation out
in the country for being a real b - - - h, but I don't care anymore.  I
try explaining nicely.  No one seems to care about being a good neighbor
.  If it was one of mine I would be out there in a flash, apologizing
profusely, assuring them I would get it under control.  I have had
escapes, I know it happens, and understand that.  It's just that these
folks are so obviously nasty when asked to take care of their dogs.  It's
not like it just meanders out to the road, he has seen for himself how
the dogs acts!  We only have one animal control person for the whole
county however ( how bright is that? ), so nothing gets done quickly. 
Supposedly we had a dog bite incident near by, and  they were supposed to
be patrolling and following up on our neck of the woods quicker??  We
shall see.  Cindy.
