I got the name of the Mayor and his location incorrect. It's Mayor John Cook,
also known as Mayor "Cookie". He is the Mayor of Milford Illinois.
It cost me absolutely nothing to post my message at the message board of The
Chicago Tribunes Internet site was. The original post about this came from Carol
Boyle last week for more accurate information. Carol, are you out there? If so,
would you mind re-posting the internet web site of theirs? I'm a boob about such
things! <bg>.
All I did to was a quick search on; The Chicago Tribune Internet, to post
there I did a *register* for free. I gave my e-mail address, picked a logger name
and password and was there at their message board. It was fast and easy.
I do not believe he has stepped down from office. Last week 'he said' that he
was thinking of it. He changed his mind. he owns a grain elevater operation. The
little boy who owned and loved Snoopy had a father that was poor and unemployed.
Cookie bought the family's silence apparently because Mayor John Cook gave the
Dad a job. Granted the father needed it, but what a shame that he took it. What a
very sad message this must've send to his son.
So far I have only read from a sketchy source that the cookie mayor may get
30 days of jail. but, I doubt it. Cook has a lot of power in that little town. I
believe the population is approximately 2,000 people.
No mater what the legal outcome of this is, I can only hope that the public
will create such a stink about this disgusting torturous deed that the stench of
it will be well remembered when it comes time for John Cook to run for public
office again.
If anyone is interested in another way of doing this here is some more
information where he may be contacted at: His office and telephone number is:
Milford Mayor's Office
                                       15 S. West Ave.
                                        Milford, Il. 60953
                                        (815) 889-4590
    Yours in pyr spirit,
                            Judith, Jonah & Lexi
