Susan,
    Zuni does not whine because she was debarked by her previous owner. The 
most sound she can make is a low wheezing sound, but she does not do this 
with her bone in her mouth. She'll just wander around silently, almost 
forlornly. It's very funny. Sometimes she'll even give her sister Belle the 
bone she has, and take the other one. Belle doesn't care as long as she has 
something to chew. They are real chewers! I have to watch the laundry room 
door because Zuni also has a taste for Bounce dryer sheets! A real 
troublemaker, she is. :-)
