Re: [PyrNet-L]

Alison, because we can not determine well, when they become tired. When
a pup or young dog play, they flop and rest frequently. When we walk
them, we take them out on hard surfaces ( often ) and walk without really
thinking of them. The period depends a lot on breed, size of dog, mass.
The over all average is about a year. You can probably walk lightly at 6
mo. , adding a little at 9 mo. But for a good hard walk you would want
to wait for a year and build up from there. Others will have slightly
different time schedules. The biggest thing is not stressing an immature
underdeveloped body and muscle system, when they are growing so rapidly
and have so much weight to carry. Even then you want to watch for
limping or soreness. Cindy.
