[PyrNet-L] Pyrnet-L I think you probably did read it here!! (long!)

Yes I think this was where you would have seen the warnings given about too
much walking, Too much exercise to soon, to much stress put on those young
joints while growing etc. Green wood bends and moulds into the shape you
want it to be . Then pile the weight on, let him play with older dogs, get
knocked around and you have the recipe for disaster. So as those in the
know say, Do not overexercise, do not overfeed, do not over supplement with
extras, do not allow rough play with older, heavier dogs, then you have the
recipe for sucess. Am sure all the buddies on the street are far more mellow
than Leo. You see they do not have the growth spurts that Leo will have.
They do not grow at such a rapid growth rate as Leo will. Walking on the
lead at this age? Not here, not til 9 months old. Sure we'll go out
somewhere but we wont walk for miles, we might paddle in the water, we might
go on a "sniffing Walk" we might go to a couple of dog shows but we will not
have the legs walked off us so we have to be carried home!! Let him be, let
him grow, let him grow without any limps, don't let him carry excess weight.
Weigh him regularly, keep in touch with your Breeder to see how the litter
mates are coming on but above all just let him be!!
