We had an almost escape on Tuesday night.  David had gone down to the local 
quick stop for come chips (crisps in the British speaking world) and when he 
came home, he drove in our drive, through the gate as always.  I went out 
about an hour later, let Baron out one last time to water the plants, and as 
I was coming around the end of the house realised that the driveway gates 
were standing wide open!  Fortunately, Baron was more interested in attending 
to his duties than to worry about going walkabout.  I, on the other hand, 
made a 4 minute mile dash to the gate to get it closed.  An accident like 
that can happen so quickly!  We were fortunate.
