I have 3 Pyrs and 8 parrots, and I think that the Great Pyrenees is a
good choice for compatibility with birds. Two of my three Pyrs I trust
completely around the birds. The third I am cautious about, as he has
been known to kill small animals. I do have one bird, a macaw, that I do
not trust out around the dogs, as it likes to get down on the floor and
wander around. I would also not consider a puppy 100 pct. trustworthy.
