When Paddington was about 6 months old, we were visiting the woman who was
our trainer. She had several dogs, among them a wonderful older Newfie. We
were waiting for Sharon to finish a phone conversation, playing with Paddy
in the living room. He'd chase a ball, bone, whatever, and bring it back
to us. Tinker, the Newfie, decided she wanted some of the attention, so
placed herself in front of us so that Paddington couldn't get all the way
to us. He headed back, saw what had happened, thought about it for a
moment, then lifted his leg on Tinker's bed!! It was so deliberate,
particularly since this boy was house-trained within a week of our
bringing him home! We still chuckle when we think about it!
