Yes, the Great Pyrenees is a very common dog that affects those around them 
in uncommon ways.  The Pyr has at one time been labeled "Mat Dog" because of 
its instinct of laying in front of the door of its masters dwelling.  Its 
master being a peasant shepherd in some Pyrenean Mountain Valley.  Suddenly 
discovered by French Royalty and made the royal court dog.  This scenario is 
repeated time and time again only the places, names, and circumstances 
change, never the dog and its effects on those whose lives are inevitably 
changed by this "Mat Dog".

RIP, Cody you were indeed an extraordinarily sweet boy and a true ambassador 
for the breed.
