Re: [PyrNet-L] Chewing on feet

<<Does anyone have a suggestion as to why Cotten lays around sometimes
licking and chewing on her feet. >>Mike

Has she started doing it recently? Given the season over there (it's spring
isn't it?) it could be an allergy to something like grass, pollen, a plant
etc. Or perhaps an allergy to a cleaning product? (on the
floor/carpet/bedding). Have you sprayed or used anything in the yard/garden
at all? This is another possibility. Or it could be yeast or fungal
related (or it could just be habit or a 'cleaning fetish' ;-) ). It could
be a lot of things :-/.

If you can identify a cause this is great. This is often hard to do though.
As long as her feet do not get too red or sore from the licking or
irritation she should be fine. Boosting her immune system with
anti-oxidants such as Vit C and E and Garlic and making sure her diet
contains good quality Essential Fatty Acids (Omega 3 and 6) may help.
