Re: [pyrnet] Boarding Kennel Blues
Hi all,
Everyone has had really kind comments in regard to my poor traumatized
pooch. It's much appreciated. Here's an update on post-boarding problems.
Both Daisy and Penny the Cat have a horrible case of the runs. I think
that's significant since they were boarded at the same kennel and Badger,
who stayed with the vet, is fine. I stayed home from work yesterday and
Daisy went outside many times. She also had a bad case of the "velcro dog"
syndrome. Today I was at work for about 2 and half hours when my son called
to tell me that she'd left a nice present on the living room carpet. I can
hardly get him to clean his room, let alone dog poop. She's obviously not
feeling well but I also think she may have pooped upstairs out of separation
anxiety. She's done that in the past.
I feel certain that Daisy and Penny picked up something from the kennel (and
now I have to worry that Badger will get it too) but I'm still undecided
about the care she received. I know they may board too many dogs to give
lots of individual attention but I think that if a dog is so obviously
stressing, someone should take the extra time to try and comfort it.
The next time I have to board, everyone is going to the vet.
Kim, Daisy and Badger
