Re: [pyrnet] re Whiskers!!

Jan,

Speaking of old cats, my old Kitty died two years ago at age 13. She was
stone deaf by then and mostly just slept. Many times we would come home in
the evening and she would be sleeping on the sofa, unaware that we were
home. If someone sat down on the sofa or reached over to pat her, she'd
literally jump out of her skin with fright! It was hilarious to watch but I
wonder how many of her nine lives we went through doing that. Kitty only
had one or two whiskers left on either side. She'd been sick with feline
leukemia for a long time and we didn't know it. She'd always been an indoor
cat and an only cat so we're not sure where and when she became infected. I
got her when she was 3.

Nothing about pyrs but the mention of a deaf, crusty, old cat made me
nostalgic.

Kim
