Wow Barb, that's amazing.  So how does the pet store prices compare to
the general ads. in the paper?  Obviously your paying more for them
there, but I still have to think that if you look in the paper before you
buy out of a pet store, your going to get a much better deal.  If the
public keeps getting suckered in to buying pups in pet stores at
outrageous prices, how will this ever end?  Those poor animals, their
lives are miserable from start to finish, it is so sad.  Petsmart and
Petco have sure helped by only having dog adoption days and not selling
kittens and pups, at least in this area it helps.  We do have one small
pet store in one of the malls selling pups and kittens at terrible
prices, and everything is high in that store.  I noticed one day they had
a Patagonian Conure for $750.00!  I got my Gaea for $250. as a hand fed
baby, from a wonderful breeder, with an immaculate set up for her birds
and a never ending source of information. And I found her through an ad
in the paper, and checked her out.  The mark up on the poor birds is
crazy too!  Cindy
