Re: [pyrnet] Adoption of blind Pyr

I don't have anything breed specific to say about this, but a month or so
ago, when we had our two pyrs walking in the woods, we met a woman with a
6 yr old almost-blind rottie. When she realised that he was losing his
sight, she took on a 2nd dog, a young springer, in the hopes that he'd act
as a guide to the rottie. It was totally amazing to watch them. The woman
had planned to put a bell on the springer, so that the rottie could easily
locate him, but so far she hasn't had to--the springer is amazingly
attentive to his buddy and they've become great friends. Given pyr
sensitivity towards feelings of pack members, etc., I wouldn't be
surprised to see your guy rise to the occasion and help the blind one.
