[pyrnet] Digging Behavior

Lisa,

Jake and Jeep "dig/scratch" a spot in the carpet before settling in to
sleep.  So far, they have never damaged the carpet.  But there have been
times when they continued digging for so long or were so vigorous, that I
did worry about it.

Your guess about anxiety as the reason that the foster dog would dig, sounds
likely.  Only guessing, but maybe digging to wear down the toenails or to
leave a scent from the paws - or is that cats that leave a scent from the
paws.

In any case, you were great to disclose the problem behavior to the new
home.  They can take precautions if they have a favorite floor!! or
recognize the behavior more quickly, if it continues in the absence of all
the other dogs.
