Re: [pyrnet] thinking logically

Hi!

My house is sparsely decorated and furnished. We're remodeling in stages
but that has nothing to do with it. When we decided to give the place a
face lift, we took into account our life style and the things that are
important to us: kids, dogs, and books ... and not always in that order ;-).
We wanted to have pets but not have a house that looks and smells like we
have pets. The first thing we did was rip up all of the carpeting, put down
ceramic tile and refinish the hardwood floors. Cleanup is a breeze now and
just takes a few minutes a day. It was amazing how much cleaner the house
smelled when just the carpeting was gone. The furniture is rustic
rough-hewn pine, so if it's scratched or damaged, it looks like it was meant
to be that way. The only room that would qualify as a "trophy" room would
be the living room, and that's only because we've turned it into a library.
Dogs are welcome and encouraged to lay at our feet when we read and drink
coffee! All we ask is that books are not substituted for rubber balls and
rawhide chews.

So, a person can have a sparse, or even utilitarian home and be warm and
caring. Our dogs are family members, even more spoiled and pampered than
the kids!
