[pyrnet] Re: Gulliver and "Flat Su"!

Due to problems sleeping lately ( rack it up to being at that troublesome
age I guess ), I have been restricting the dogs time sleeping on the bed
with us. This includes all but Su-Ling our 9 year old Shih-Tzu. Su has
always slept in the bookcase part of the headboard, But lately, maybe
due to age as well, she has been sleeping curled at our necks or behind
our legs. The rest of the guys have been fairly decent about following
Mom's new nasty rules, but they do get up on the bed towards morning.

While still in a decent sleep this morning, I semi- awoke to Gulliver
crashing down in the middle of the bed, like someone dropped a log up the
center. I remember thinking, H'mmm I thought I felt Su-Ling back there,
as I started to go into a deeper sleep. Next thing I feel little
scratches on the back of my leg. Thought about the sensation for a few
seconds, when the light bulb went on! Sure enough, the huge oaf was
laying on her!! He also had me held down well with the weight on the
blanket. I'm yelling and whacking at Hubby with one flailing arm, trying
to wake him up, and have him pull the obviously oblivious Gulliver up off
poor Su-Ling. A not entirely "with it" Bob, finally gets the message
and hauls Gulliver up and over his body and flips him over the side so
Gully landed on his feet.

We have been calling her "flat Su" all day. She was greatly annoyed when
we got her out from under him, as one might expect. Good thing it's a
water bed, or it might have been worse. Well ,with all the excitement,
we just gave up and got up! Evidently, Gulliver is not opposed to
sleeping on lumps I guess? Cindy
