Re: [pyrnet] HELP -- Need fencing advice

There are other forms of the panel fencing that offer very small squares
that noses can't go through. I think those fall under Hog panels, cattle
panels being larger squares. Some have smaller squares at the bottom,
with larger ones at the top, and the ones I am referring to have the
small squares top to bottom. They often come in narrow panel widths
though, in some areas. The panels are usually 16' long(average) and run
in different heights. This is very heavy fencing, perhaps one of the
best as far as strength goes, although even on those welds can be broken
on occassion.

I too have heard the story about large dogs snapping the chain link. I
suspect this is the very thin inexpensive type. If you are looking at
fence materials you will find that chain link comes in different size
squares, and many different strengths ( ever see the size on prisons or
secured facilities ) , as well as heights. Chain link is usually
installed with a tight wire running at ground level secured to each of
the posts and you tie the fencing down to it, so it can't be lifted. I
do like Judiths idea of running some type of lighter fencing down and out
on the ground, to stop the possibility of digging under. Where Pyrs. are
concerned, your going to want 6' of any type, and then some type of top (
elect wire strand, etc. ). Cindy
