Sorry to take so long to answer you - mom doesn't let me near the keyboard often... Thank you for your good advice.  I am enjoying my "new" hoe immensely - every now and again, mom stops by just to pet and talk nice, or give ear-scratches and belly-rubs. It is far nicer than anywhere else I have been.

So far, no luck in finding my original people - and although mom is keeping her chin up, I don't think there's much chance.  And just between us - mom is a lot more interested than I am.  I think it is nice that she wants to be able to tell people I am ok, and to find out anything she can that might help my health - but really, I am happy where I am at last and don't care much one way or the other.

My brother Phobos is ok - even if he is a face-biter (he doesn't bite hard, he is just an energetic little boy who hasn't learned very well yet - and sometimes I think I might be too patient with him, which doesn't help I guess....)  In a couple of weeks mom says I will get to meet lots of fuzzy white dogs like me - something called a Parade is coming and we are going to go meet other Pyrs for the first time (mom has a book with a picture of an obedience class here in town - with 11 of us in it!).  I ma very excited about that!

I am curious - I know "Paddington" is a train station in London (but you are probably named for the bear that was found there, huh?) - but "Ivy Rose" - well, the closest I could come was an old movie of mom's, where a girl called Audrey Rose is reincarnated into a girl called Ivy - somehow, that didn't seem right, so I thought I would ask where "Ivy Rose" came from?  My name comes from the fact that Mom loves me, and isn't going to let bad people make me miserable any more - she has a whole long story that goes with it, but if I know mom, she has already told everyone *that.*

Anyway, thank you for the nice welcome note.  I can't wait to meet the other fuzzy white dogs and tell you all about it.  Remember to write and tell me where your name comes from, Ivy Rose...
