Linda, I have to agree with you as far as Carolyn goes. As I said
before, she and I had numerous conversations on the subject of
Dwarfism. She even applied some real pressure on me to test breed
a bitch we co-owned, using Ubu's semen. (Linda is absolutely
correct, the reason he was collected was to use him for test
breedings to clear bitches) Carolyn DID NOT consider Dwarfism to
be one of the major health issues in the breed. This is not to
say that she did not think it was important, but is to say she
thought other diseases were certainly more heartbreaking and
serious. I did not test breed the bitch. She was never bred,so we
have no idea if she was a carrier or not, but at least she did
not add to the problem in the breed. I cannot, however, speak for
her siblings as I do know that one other bitch was sold as a
breeding prospect.
