Re: Re: [pyrnet] neighboors.

merri,
to answer your questions; no, light-sleeper is not a dog owner and i
baked them a butterscotch pie. i even sent over a can of squirty whipped
cream to go with it.
at first, when he was complaining to my hubby about the dog, i would put
a little note in his mailbox to apolgize. i told him that i would only
let the dog out at night if i were right there with him.
later, i realized that no amount of good-neighborliness would help. i
just don't understand unreasonable people.
when boone escapes, peole call to say "your DOG is in my YARD, again!"
very meanly. i just cannot identify with that attitude. i live in , and
grew up in a family that was happy when stray or lost dogs came in the
yard. we would all run out to pet them and check for tags. we secretly
hoped that they were strays so we could rescue them! if they had tags, we
would bring them in and feed them until thier owners could come and get
them. my dad even took strays to the vet, for care and shots before
finding them new homes.
last summer, my sister brought me a pit-bull (i have to admit, i was a
little nervous about the breed, since so many are raised to fight) that
she rescused from a man who was trying to throw the dog in a dumpster.
this little dog ended up being a sweet little girl! she had been beaten
and abused and totally neglected. we took care of her and nursed her
wounds until i was able to find a loving home for her.
i just don't get anti-dog people. how could you hate
dogs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
