Thanks Wards & Barb,
It looks like a blood test is the way to go... to determine if Mel has the thyroid problem.
Emmetts check up is in march, so I will wait until then. Unless Mels weight goes up. Then I will take him in before. We weigh the dogs every other week at the vet. So we will be able to tell any fluctuations.
