Lene, I don't know that I said that it "was "a false pregnancy, only that
she "acted " like she was in one.  Hormonally speaking, not in actuality.
 Maybe that isn't how it came out when I wrote?  Since Barb has had some
real experience with this, she is going to be more  helpful here.  We
have done the false pregnancy experience when I had the Mastiffs.  At any
rate I don't think it has anything to do with the actual spaying, as much
as the hormones prior to it.  As Barb mentioned, hormones take a while to
decrease and regulate after spaying or neutering.  Good Luck, Cindy
