You are so right, Darrell!  I thought it was made perfectly clear not too
long ago, that if you know about a dog that needs assistance, not to post
to one of the lists, but to contact the local rescue group.  I help with
rescue here in the Carolinas, and there's no way that I could be of any use
at springing this dog -- not only do we not have the resources to do it (we
have enough to try to deal with in our own back yard), but out of
consideration for the local group it's their area and they should be
allowed to do their job.  I sometimes think groups like Pyrangle, often do
a disservice to the GPCA rescue organisations.  I know of at least one
situation where a rescue Pyr here in SC was picked up by a Pyrangle rep and
taken to another state.  This was a working LGD, and we have homes already
approved on a waiting list for such a Pyr.  There was no need for this dog
to go several states away to find a suitable home.
