Re: [pyrnet] Onions and garlic

Garlic is a saponin, which means basically, that it has toxic
properties. But it would take a LOT of garlic to be toxic. My
dogs get garlic oil caps to control fleas. For me, this works
like a charm. And, IMO, it's a lot less potentially toxic to
myself, or the dogs, than using chemicals for the same effect.
Garlic and onions may be in the same family, but they are not
exactly the same. Tomatoes are in the nightshade family, but they
are not toxic for the most part unless perhaps you consumed
bushels at a time. (although they are not good for dogs)
Everything in moderation and all should be fine. BTW, garlic also
has some natural antibiotic properties.
