Re: [pyrnet] Dry Skin?

Hi Shannon,
My pyr Mandy (4 yrs)was very itchy recently while we
were dealing with a couple of successive hot spots.
She had never had this problem before. I suspected
that she was allergic to something based on what the
vet had told me, but after treating her hot spots
(based on wonderful help from list members), she is
now doing great and not itchy at all. What seemed to
help immensely was putting her on a derm cap daily
(large breed size). It has essential fatty acids
(contains fish oil) plus a couple of vitamins. I was
told it might take a couple of weeks to see
improvement, but Mandy totally stopped scratching in
4-5 days once I started her on them. Has worked
wonders for us!
Let us know how Levi is doing.
