My breeder has # 4 size gravel in his kennels and I did the same for Bailey the Bear. Easy to clean (unless the solid waste gets wet in the rain)..if you scoop poop every day. The rain washes everything else down through the rocks. I'd prefer a thicker layer than I have right now -- about 4 ".
