Re: [pyrnet] Anthromorphizing animals

Well, my Mom and Aunt Deb really like animals especially horses but there
are their dogs and cats too. My Grandparents had/have a liking for certain
ones.

I am married and have one human daughter. I love my family very much but
have not seen a difference with how I relate to my animals. I still talk to
them all the time....my husband is finally getting used to it and starting
himself actually. :)

We have 17 dogs (Pyrs, Cockers and one Terrier Mix) minus Meka, when she
passed, I was devastated and still come to tears if I let myself think about
it.

I think sometimes it just depends on the person. I don't go so far as to
not believe in spay/neutering but I do believe they have feelings....not
about "their stuff" but you know....and I know that if they love me they are
capable of loving each other in some way.

My uncle seems to think everything an animal ever does is simply instinct.
And an old (now deceased) neighbor believed that animals do not feel pain!
:-(
