I am not totally sure here but I would suspect that the anesthesia may have a lot to do with the way she feels. It can be quite nauseating. When Maddie was spayed all she got were ice cubes for the 1st few hrs home...then only a handfull of food till at least 12 hrs., had passed. Glad all went well for her! Michele
