[pyrnet] 1st heat in Pyrs

Hello,

I am curious...when will a female pyr first come into season?  I ask because 
I know some folks with Irish Wolfhounds with a bitch that is over 1 yr old and 
she has not yet come into season. They tell me that Wolfhounds mature slowly 
(sounds familiar) and they do not expect her to come into season for quite 
some time.

Are pyrs the same way?

Keith, Soo, Dusty, and Romy (a male Pyr, so we have no experience)
