[pyrnet] chat: Pico gets a fence

Well, it took me two years after moving into my house, but Pico finally has
a fence. He was very patient about it, didn't moan and groan when I had to
replace the furnace before I fenced in his yard. He didn't moan and groan
when I had to replace the 75 year old wiring before I fenced in his yard.
This year, he finally got it.

His patience really paid off, he got almost an acre of stockade and
chainlink enclosed yard to patrol. Thursday was the great unleashing of the
pup and he was off. Well, not exactly, it did take him a while to realize
that he was no longer required to stay within 20 feet of me. The clue light
has finally come on and this morning he patrolled the perimeter of HIS yard
in true Pyrenean fashion. Now he will be able to invite all his friends over
for play time instead of always being the guest.

Watching him last night, I did start to think that with such a large area to
patrol, it might be better if he had a little help. Last year, I did think
about getting another dog, but not having a fenced in area made it too
difficult. I think it just might work out now.
