But don't you think the risks of using Albon far outweigh the benefit? Especially for something that is self limiting as you say? I agree Barb - it is not a drug that should be used for other than it's purpose under direct supervision of your vet. Pano passes and can return that's the way it works - it is how one handles and controls the activity when it occurs that will determine if there is going to be any residual negative effect. If they are having a flare up and feel no pain due to giving a strong pain reliever they will do damage to themselves. Folks just need to be patient and crate rest the dogs for it's own sake. I know it's sad to see a vibrant puppy in crate and uncomfortable but it really is for it's own good to be rested. A mild dose of buffered aspirin will help keep them comfortable so they can rest.
