[pyrnet] Aggression in 3-yr old

Dear all,
I was wondering if anyone may have had a similar experience with a Pyr or know what might be afoot-- these past 2 weeks, our oldest Pyr has been acting peculiar, such as when we took him sledding, he wouldn't run or play as normal, he hasn't been eating as much, etc.  Most disturbingly, he has attempted to attack three members in our family, two of the children and the father.  In the three incidences with the girls, it was only when they were wearing new brightly colored scarves, and he lunged at their throats, while with the father, he simply snapped at him when he was being hit very hard after he had tried to hurt the girls.  Some have suggested he was only trying to protect the girls from the scarves, which may have looked like an animal to him, while some specialists are saying it's either signs of dementia or dominant aggression.  We also have a Pyr who just turned 1 that has been getting more attention lately.  Any ideas?
