   We are now a rescue for LGD dogs.  We thought there was a need for 
these type of specialty dogs and their right placements.  We also have 
the animals on the farm here, so we can observe their behaviors, to know 
how they will do with other animals dogs, cats, goats, sheep, etc.  We 
attended a seminar by the PETCO foundation awhile back.  One of the 
interesting scernios PETCO did, was ask all the different 
rescues/shelters what their criteria was for their potential adopters.  
Then they asked which shelter/rescue fit the criteria.  None did.  I do 
appriceate the work that shelters/rescues do!  All the time and money 
donated for the love of dogs.  I think that sometimes we just lose sight 
of the balance of all of the above.
