I have to say, if I had to pull a dog off my child.....the dog probably would not have made it to the pound. Although the entire situation seems to be the result of several bad judgement calls by "responsible" adults, I'm afraid I have to agree with you. Just another part of being a "responsible" adult to make that awful decision and take care of it yourself.
