Pick a good quality kibble that you like. Dole out enough
for
a meal. Put that on the floor and walk away. Give her 15-30
minutes to eat.
If she doesn't, pick it up and don't feed her til the next
day. Don't make a
fuss, don't coax, don't plead. Just do
it. Only a psychotic dog will starve
itself to death. Most dogs
are NOT psychotic !!

I also do not "free-feed"~~Call Me a "control freak", but, I want the
dogs here to know that " I " am the "giver of all good things"~and that "if
Moma ain't Happy, then, No one is Happy " <BG>~
All dogs are fed in their crates, with the doors shut and
locked--- fights over food being #1, and I Pick My battles~~a dog fight
over food is a battle that I can avoid )
I do cheat a little~~If I'm having chicken, beef, ect. I'll save the
bones, boil them down, ( after I've rinsed off any spices that could cause an
upset tummy )~~strain off the Liquid and pour it over
the kibble as a gravy~~I very seldom have a dog turn up His nose lunch
or dinner ~~
