Re: [pyrnet] Re: pyrnet-l-digest.20050326

If I'm having chicken, beef, ect. I'll save the bones, boil them down, ( after I've rinsed off any spices that could cause an upset tummy )~~strain off the Liquid   and pour it over the kibble as a gravy~~
I'm so glad to hear someone say that.  I do cook for Ombre because she's picky about her dry food.  Once in awhile I cook up a pot of meats and broth just for the dogs, as a treat over their dry food.  (We buy whole beef/pork and raise our own chickens, so we have packages of meat in the freezer that we don't enjoy eating ourselves -- liver/heart/lots of big bones -- to which I add whatever grains and veges at hand.)
The really-good-for-her expensive dry food is exactly what Ombre refuses to eat.  She strongly prefers a bottom-of-the-line brand, that's still supposed to be good for her, but I wonder, so we try to suppliment it with extra protein and good tasting stuff.
