Re: [pyrnet] Orthopedic question

Hi Shari,

There is an EXCELLENT orthopedic surgeon, Dr Robert Horne, at the University of Tuskegee which is about 30 minutes or so from Auburn. He retired from Auburn and took over the small animal teaching hospital at Tuskegee. If you'd like to contact him I can give you his number, he will be quite a bit cheaper than UGA or AU and he is an excellent well respected surgeon.

Thanks Elaine! I will check it out. We have Auburn 3 hours away, but from the people I know who have gone there, I think that their prices are pretty high. Also, they do some of those horrible Iams lab experiements on dogs. I might check with University of GA.

Shari, I think that I would at least make an appt with the ortho to see what he thinks about both treatment options or he may come up with something else. You may want to check around and see if there is a veterinary teaching hospital in your area and make an appt for a consult there.
