Update on 2 dogs: A lady from a dog rescue is picking up the choc. lab and possibly the heeler tomorrow. Just now the choc.lab went after one of our ducks and soon after the heeler went after it too. When we fussed at the lab, he dropped the duck, but the heeler went for him, so I don't recommend these dogs if you have small animals.... I also have a pic now of the lab.

This dog plus a young choclate lab have been hanging around our house
for a week now and doesn't want to leave. Noone has claimed the dogs
and we'd hate to bring them to a pound because we know what their fate
would be. He seemed to have claimed us b/c he barks at the cars that
drive up to our home. If we already didn't have so many pets, we would
keep him in a heart beat. He gets along so well with my Great Pyrenees.
He also gets along with children. He would really be the perfect dog
for our family, but like I said earlier there's no way we can keep him.
I'm already getting attached, so it's time to find him a home. I took the choc. lab and the
heeler both walking (leashed) to our pond in the back and the lab was
so excited to play in the water. I let him loose and he'd run a ways,
then stop to see if we were catching up. Both would be great pets,
maybe not placed together though. PLEASE let me know if you interested
in these dogs. I misplaced my memory card and couldn't take any pics of
the lab yet, but I will when I find it.
