RE: [pyrnet] sensitive stomach and shampoo
Jeanne,
I use J & J Baby Shampoo for spot washing. Very gentle, easy to rinse out
and no scent. I do not wash the whole dog, just the dirtiest places and
that is often the face. Every three or four months, I send the dogs to the
groomer for a full scrub and de-furring. I no longer have fur balls the
size of a small dog this way. It's about $75 for each dog but it is worth
that in time and clean up to me. I used to wash them in the bathtub and the
clean up afterwards was awful. I did once try my Clairol shampoo for white
hair on the dogs - it is purple and supposed to whiten and brighten white
hair - it is very difficult to wash out from dog fur and not worth the
effort at all. I do not know if special shampoos for white dogs are any
better, but I'll stick to baby shampoo for my dog touch ups.

I am going to get a can of pumpkin today. I wish I had known about that 4
years ago when we first got Jake.
Oh, by the way, does anyone have a preference for shampoo for Pyrs? I use a
medicated shampoo for him but switch off once in a while to Crown Royale
products which work well but are TOO perfume-y for my boy, Jake!!
Thanks,
