What about covert or commando raids?  Granted, my
knowledge is limited about WWI (just began looking
into it a few months ago)...but I think there is a
bunch of opportunities.

If I remember correctly, yes the Western Front didn't
vary that often, but the front in southern France and
Italy moved around quite a bit.

And the Eastern Front, with the nearly unarmed
Russians...(which I'm surprised the Germans and
Austrians didn't make greater gains).

But I do think that there is a wealth of opportunity
for a Weird War I version.
