Re: [WW] Weird War I?



The Crusades?  Yeah, it was a war, so to speak...it
just doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the Weird
Wars mentioned.  All of these use projectile weaponry,
whereas the Crusades (if used at all, which I doubt)
would be very primative in the least.

I would think WWI would be the better choice.  WWI was
about Empires and growing Nationalism amongst the
European nations and such.  The weapons race to se who
could build the better battleship, the bigger gun;
where rule was determined by might, not right.  It's
romantic notion, that was destroyed over the course of
4 years.

With so many warring parties to choose from, yes, the
game would be a bit more complicated (Italy changes
from the Entente to the Allies in mid war), but the
possibilities are limitless, IMHO.
