Uh, no...

First outbreak of Bubonic Plague in Europe:  1346 AD

First Crusade:  1100 AD

In fact the first record by Europeans of what _might_ be the plague is from
a siege in Asia Minor during one of the later Crusades.

While there were many factors apart from religious fervor that brought about
the Crusades, the plague wasn't one of them.
