gee, i guess maybe i should have filled in my own question in the process.
not thinking...

the MAQUIS (our game group; Medina Area Quantum Uncertainty Ideas Section,
located in Medina Ohio <near cleveland> home of A.I.Root Co! the greatest
candle company in the WORLD!!!! http://www.airoot.com/ ) started CAMPAIGN_2
last week. we have 4 players (1 new) and 2 more new ones starting in 2
weeks. the timeline started May 1st, 1937, in Cairo Egypt. running a sort
of "indiana jones" campaign with a mixed bag of PC's. right now they are
chasing across the desert after an italian scientist (is that like saying
ferengi scientist?) who's been working for the germans. they think he's a
munitions specialist. although they just cought up to him (in a bad case of
"desert road rage"), they seem more depressed that they wrecked a perfectly
good bentley while trying to "t-bar" the german staff car.

one interesting thing i did do to help "set the atmosphere" for my game was
include a handout for my players with some interesting timeline info. my
players liked it. that timeline is...
