The firefight at Knossos would be with 'redshirt'
Wehrmacht or more likely fallschirmjager (a pity it is
too early for the FG42) to hold off the PCs while the
blood mage and his party descends into the labyrinth
beneath the palace. Heavy shades of Return to Castle
Wolfenstein here as the Nazis encounter obstacles
while pursued by the PCs.

Crete was invaded in May '41 so it may be too early
for any official American participation.
